Beginning their 3rd year at the popular 1920s Gin Mill Social, Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters, opened the Friday 22 January show at Slide, 41 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, with a whirlwind tour-de-force of 1920s jazz.

Greg Poppleton, whose 1920s singing is totally authentic, lead the Broadcasters in such songs as Cake Walking Babies From Home, Blue Skies and the Charleston.

Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters is Australia's most listened to 1920s - 1930s band, with over 575, 000 YouTube views for just one video alone!

Geoff Power played bass lines on the mighty sousaphone, stepping forward on trumpet to growl and groan on such 1920s show stoppers as Hindustan and At Sundown. Paul Baker, as always, played a driving and melodic banjo.

Here are some of the official pics from the 22 January Gin Mill Social. The next Gin Mill Social is next Friday 19 February. Hurry to book your TICKETS now before they sell out.
